Oat milk is a more environmentally sustainable choice amongst the various non-dairy milks.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup Oats
  • Water
  • 2 Dates (seedless)
  • Vanilla Essence 1-2 drops (optional)

METHOD

  1. Blend the oats & dates with water 1:3 proportion.
  2. Strain through a sieve.

Note

  • Use more dates if you like it sweet, depending on what you’re using it for.
  • Soak the dates for a little while if possible as it’s easier to grind.
  • Don’t forget to take out the seed before grinding if dates are not seedless.
  • Don’t overblend as it can get a bit slimy.
  • Use a sieve preferably. If using a cloth / cloth bag don’t oversqueeze.
  • Some non-dairy milks are heat sensitive so should not be overheated.
