Oat milk is a more environmentally sustainable choice amongst the various non-dairy milks.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup Oats
- Water
- 2 Dates (seedless)
- Vanilla Essence 1-2 drops (optional)
METHOD
- Blend the oats & dates with water 1:3 proportion.
- Strain through a sieve.
Note
- Use more dates if you like it sweet, depending on what you’re using it for.
- Soak the dates for a little while if possible as it’s easier to grind.
- Don’t forget to take out the seed before grinding if dates are not seedless.
- Don’t overblend as it can get a bit slimy.
- Use a sieve preferably. If using a cloth / cloth bag don’t oversqueeze.
- Some non-dairy milks are heat sensitive so should not be overheated.
